Class, drag race to help foundation

Baby Boot Camp class — a fitness program designed specifically for postpartum mothers and their babies — and an all-female drag race will be held to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The Komen Foundation's mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by advancing education, screening and treatment.

The baby benefit workout is Monday and open to all mothers (and other caregivers) with stroller-aged babies. Class is limited to 12 mothers and their children. The workout will be held at Aloha Tower Marketplace from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. For more information, contact Erin deNeeve Baum at erin@babybootcamp.com or 754-6169.

• The sixth annual King Intermediate Invitational Cross Country meet for sixth to eighth graders will take place today starting at 4 p.m. About 150 boys and girls from 12 intermediate schools and five elementary schools will compete.
