Advertiser Staff

Sony Hawaii President Ryozo "Ree" Sakai announced to company customers that he will turn over the top post of the local distributorship and service provider for Japan's Sony Corp. in November after 19 years.

Sakai, who helped usher in VHS videocassette products after he joined Sony Hawaii in 1985, was previously with Sony in Chicago and Los Angeles. He will become an advisor to the company. Don Kim, a Sony veteran who is Sony Hawaii's senior vice president and controller, will become president.
