Jonathan Mihara shows off a 35-pound ulua he caught while fishing off Hilo with his father, Gary Mihara, and uncle Jeffrey Nishimoto. Jonathan, 15, from 'Aiea, also caught a bigger ulua — estimated at 50 pounds — but before he could land the fish, a shark took a big chunk out of it. "They actually got the video of the shark swimming around," said Pat Mihara, Jonathan's mother. Jonathan, "loves the ocean," Pat said. "He's a certified junior scuba diver. Anything in the ocean, that is his true love."
