Honu Group Inc. plans new center

Honolulu-based Honu Group Inc. says it is planning a development at the Rural Community Commercial Center in Pupukea that will include community services, shopping, and dining.

The development, to be called Pupukea Village, will include five free-standing buildings with a total of 59,000 square feet of leasable space.



$4M invested in Kona company

Kona Blue Water Farms LLC yesterday said it received $4 million in investment from Aspen, Colo.-based Cornerstone Holdings. The investment qualifies for state technology investment tax credits.

Kona Blue Water, a division of Big Island-based pearl oyster cultivator Black Pearls Inc., received state Land Board approval last year to lease 81 acres adjacent to Keahole Airport to raise mahimahi and other fish in eight cages.
