Police seek help finding 2 men; foul play possible in each case

By Curtis Lum

Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men, including one who has not been seen for three months.

Richard Enslow

Gilbert Caravallo

Foul play has not been ruled out in either case, police said.

Richard A. Enslow, 28, was last seen in late July when he borrowed a family member's car, police said. The vehicle was found abandoned in a coffee field near Helemano Gulch on July 30, but the discovery was not reported by the property owner to police until this week.

Family members reported Enslow missing Aug. 2, but police had few clues until the abandoned vehicle turned up, officers said. When police searched the vehicle, they recovered items that were reported stolen from a car at Ka'ena Point earlier on July 30.

Extensive air and ground searches of the area were conducted by police, but there were no signs of Enslow. Police said they are concerned because portions of the gulch are 150 feet deep and Enslow may have fallen.

Enslow also is being sought by police on four outstanding warrants totaling $11,250, and police said he may be hiding. He is wanted for contempt of court and probation revocation, police said.

Enslow is 6 feet 1, 175 pounds, with a medium build, brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos of sharks and dolphins on his upper right arm.

Police also are looking for Gilbert Caravallo, 35, who was last seen at 3 p.m. Oct. 6 in Pearl City. Caravallo is 6 feet 1, 225 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee. The word "Gilbert" is tattooed on his back, and a tattoo on his upper right arm carries the word "Wizard."

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police Missing Persons Detail Investigator Phil Camero at 529-3394, or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
