McLachlin shares second in qualifier

McLachlin, a Punahou Schools and UCLA alum, has a 54-hole total of 7-under 209, and is tied with Brett Wayment, of Logan, Utah, who shot a 69 at the Dayton Valley Golf Club.
Chris Kamin, of Phoenix, shot a 71 and kept the lead with a 207 total.
The top 23 finishers and ties advance to the second stage.
Hawai'i's Parker McLachlin shot a 2-under-par 70 yesterday and was tied for second heading into the final round of a PGA Tour First Stage Qualifying Tournament at Dayton, Nev.
