Feldmann, Stubblefield win Match Play again

Andrew Feldmann and Larry Stubblefield won their third consecutive Golf Concepts/E-Z-Go 4-Ball Match Play Championship yesterday. They defeated Dave Eichelberger and Shane Abe, 2 and 1, at Oahu Country Club.
Feldmann is head pro at OCC and Abe is one of his assistants. Stubblefield and Eichelberger, who plays on the Champions Tour, are OCC members.
The three-peat puts Feldmann and Stubblefield, who never trailed this week, one off the tournament record for victories. David Ishii and David Chin have captured four 4-Ball titles.
Stubblefield and Feldmann won yesterday morning's semifinal by the same 2-and-1 score over former champion Kevin Hayashi and his partner, Jay Taise. Eichelberger and Abe defeated Wade Nishimoto and Ron Castillo Jr., 2 and 1.
In the final, Stubblefield and Feldmann took a 2-up advantage after five holes when their opponents missed short putts. Stubblefield and Feldmann, comfortable with the warp-speed tournament greens, drained putts from outside 6 feet on Nos. 9, 10 and 11 to hold their lead. Stubblefield's 6-foot birdie on the 17th closed out the match.
Stubblefield had six birdies in the morning match. Feldmann closed it out with a 7-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole.
