2004's last 'Art After Dark' is tonight

Advertiser Staff

You can catch the last of this year's "Art After Dark" events tonight at the Honolulu Academy of Arts' "Dia de los Muertos" from 5 to 9 p.m. at the art museum, 900 S. Beretania St.

It's a prelude to Monday, known as El Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. Traditionally, it's a time of celebration and remembrance of dead loved ones.

Tonight's crowd will dance to Latin music from Son Caribe, take salsa lessons and listen to strolling mariachis. All galleries are open. Admission is free for academy members and $7 for nonmembers. For information, call 532-6091.
