Daylight-saving time ended today

Advertiser staff

It's time to "fall back" to standard time for most of the Mainland, but not for Hawai'i residents.

Daylight-saving time ended in the wee hours of the morning today, although it doesn't directly affect Hawai'i because it is excluded from daylight-saving time by state law.

Today Hawai'i, which is on Hawaiian Standard Time, becomes two hours behind the Pacific time zone. So when it's noon in Hawai'i, it's 2 p.m. on the West Coast. For the Mountain time zone, the difference is three hours; Central zone, four hours; and Eastern zone, five hours.
