Tonight's Must-See:

"The Riverman," 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m., A&E. With his understated talent, Bruce Greenwood masters this real-life story. He plays Robert Keppel, a detective who probed serial murders in the Northwest. Before he could prove Ted Bundy did them, Bundy was convicted of other killings. Now Keppel faces a new serial case — and Bundy (played by Cary Elwes), wants to be a consultant. The cop must work with someone who both repels and fascinates him. He also must grope for a chance to bring closure to his old cases. This is a quiet tale, filmed and told darkly. Still, it packs deep emotions that may be worth the ride.

"North Shore," 7 p.m., Fox. As this show ended its summer run, viewers learned of bitter feelings between two hotel moguls — Nicole's dad and her boss. Today, as a short autumn run begins, Nicole (Brooke Burns) meets her long-lost sister (Shannen Doherty). She also starts to learn what happened to her mother.

Of Note

"Boohbah," 8:30 a.m., PBS. This odd, preschool show has 10 new episodes ready. In today's, Grandpappa has a new suit of armor. He's delighted — but finds it's not easy to walk in.

"Clifford's Puppy Days," 4:30 p.m., PBS. Here's the first of seven new episodes for September. Friends plan to make Norville a new nest, but then they start bickering.

Labor Day Marathons, all day, various networks. Let's see, USA has "Monk," beginning at 7 a.m.; TBS will air 19 episodes of "Seinfeld," starting at 10 a.m., and TNT plans 14 hours of "Law and Order," at 7 a.m.

"Miami Slice," 5, 6 p.m., Bravo. This six-part documentary focuses on five plastic surgeons who make Miami people — the rich ones, anyway — beautiful.

"Wedding Daze," 5, 6:45 and 8:30 p.m., Hallmark Channel. John Larroquette plays the father of three young women, including a supermodel played by Marina Black, from last season's "Jake 2.0." This film tries to balance pleasant humor and romance but soon becomes too predictable.

"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. Debra tries to get members for her father-in-law's lodge.

"Hawaii," 8 p.m., NBC. Here's a new episode of this series, in addition to the ones at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Edwards and Gains (Ivan Sergei and Eric Balfour) go undercover to stop a bank robbery.
