UH football to open at Alabama in 2006

The University of Hawai'i football team will open the 2006 season at Alabama, the school announced today.

The Warriors are schedueld to play in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Sept. 6, 2006 and receive a $625,000 guarantee.

UH split with the Crimson Tide in 2002 and '03 at Aloha Stadium.

UH's only other announced non-conference game that season, so far, is Nov. 25 against Purdue at Aloha Stadium.
