University of Hawai'i junior forward Natasha Kai was named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week yesterday after scoring three goals — including two in overtime — to lead the Rainbow Wahine to three straight road wins.

It is the first weekly honor for Kai this season, and seventh overall.

The two-time defending WAC Player of the Year's strong week placed her in the WAC's career top five in points with 106.

Boise State freshman Allison Tsuchida, a Punahou graduate, was also nominated for the offensive honor.

The Rainbow Wahine play their next match against Duke in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Soccer Classic on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
