University of Hawai'i junior forward Natasha Kai was named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week yesterday after scoring three goals including two in overtime to lead the Rainbow Wahine to three straight road wins.
The two-time defending WAC Player of the Year's strong week placed her in the WAC's career top five in points with 106.
Boise State freshman Allison Tsuchida, a Punahou graduate, was also nominated for the offensive honor.
The Rainbow Wahine play their next match against Duke in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Soccer Classic on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
It is the first weekly honor for Kai this season, and seventh overall.
