The Schuler Division of homebuilder D.R. Horton Inc. has begun selling its last foreseeable residential project in Hawai'i Kai at prices from $450,000 to nearly $600,000.

The company, formerly known as Schuler Homes, recently began accepting applications for the first 10 of 87 townhomes at Moana Kai, a three-story complex under construction behind the company's completed Nanea Kai project on Hawai'i Kai Drive next to the area's post office.

More Moana Kai units are scheduled to be released in phases as construction progresses. The first units are expected to be delivered to buyers next summer.

Schuler is accepting applications for the first phase until Sept. 17 for a Sept. 19 lottery.
