The Broadway blockbuster "West Side Story" kicks off the Army Community Theatre's 2004-2005 season tonight. Show times are 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday, Sept. 17-18 and Sept. 24-25 at Richardson Theatre, Fort Shafter. Tickets: $14 and $17 general, $8 and $10 children 12 and younger. 438-4480.


Paint me patriotic, but I'm no winger

Just in time for the election season, labelmaker Dymo asked Americans to label themselves. The results: Patriotism rules. Democrats overwhelmingly see themselves as "idealistic" and "patriotic" — nearly 80 percent choose these descriptors; more than half of Republicans feel "patriotic" best describes them, too. Republicans dislike the "neocon" and "right-wing" monikers, while Democrats are sensitive to being called "left-wing."
