Kumu Kahua Theatre auditions for the November production of Lee Cataluna'a comedy "Half Dozen Long Stem," 1-4 p.m. Saturday and 6-9 p.m. Sunday. Roles include three local males (early 20s to early 40s), a local female (late teens to late 20s) and two local females (early 40s to early 60s). MUSIC/DANCE

Hawai'i Youth Opera Chorus auditions for the coming season for grades 2-3 at 8:30 a.m., grades 4-12 at 10:30 a.m., grades K-1 and boys with changed voices at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Kawaiaha'o Church basement. Students learn vocal technique, ear training, sight singing, music theory and history. Rehearsals every Saturday and performances scheduled through the end of the year. Hawai'i All-State High School Honor Choir auditions for students in grades 9-12 for the Jan. 22 and 23 festival and participation in the Jan. 20-23 music camp led by Bruce Rogers at Brigham Young University on O'ahu.
