Hole No. 8, 132 yards, 5-iron
I had my first hole-in-one at the par-3 eighth hole at the Kaua'i Lagoons/Kiele Course during the Richard Kawakami's Big Save Golf Tournament on Aug. 13.
Even though it was only 132 yards, I decided to use a 5-iron because I didn't want to hit it into the water. I knew it was too much club, but some guys were yelling, "We want to see you, 'Let's Go Fishing,' " which was the name of my television show.

I hit a line drive. The ball smacked the pin and went into the hole.
After 20 years of golfing, I'll take a hole-in-one anyway I can.
