Weekly Thoughts
When we are tempted to indulge in self-pity, we do well to remember our life could be far worse than it is. A Scotsman revealed a better attitude than did an Englishman in their shipwreck experience. By the end of the second week, the Englishman moaned, "It just couldn't be worse." The Scotsman replied, "Ah, but it could. I might have bought a return ticket."
Thoughts by the late Rev. Paul Osumi are selected weekly by his family.
