Tonight's Must-See

"20/20," 8 p.m., ABC. When Barbara Walters became co-anchor of this show in 1984, she brought star power. She grabbed the big interviews. Now Walters, 72, is stepping down from the show. Here, she looks back at 25 years of "20/20" interviews, including five years before she started anchoring. We see her range. She's interviewed world leaders and celebrities; she's also interviewed such people as Monica Lewinsky and Donna Rice during their brief bursts of controversy.

Of Note

"Panic Room" (2002), 5, 7 p.m., TNT. Jodie Foster stars as a woman who hides with her daughter in her house's panic room as three home invaders (one of them Forest Whitaker) try to get in.

"The Complex: Malibu," 7 p.m., Fox. There are five couples left, and one is about to be ousted.

"8 Simple Rules," 7:30 p.m., ABC. This rerun has Cate (Katey Sagal) hesitantly agreeing to a date with the kids' principal (Adam Arkin), whom she knew long ago.

"Joan of Arcadia," 8 p.m., CBS. This show runs an hour later than usual to make room for "Big Brother." In this rerun, Joan is feverish and feels God has given her contradictory instructions. Her parents also have key moments in their faith.

"Third Watch" season opener, 8 p.m., NBC. Last season, a mobster (Gene Simmons of the group Kiss) vowed to kill cops in general and Cruz (Tia Texada) in particular. Tonight, his men assault a hospital, leaving Bosco critically wounded.

"Medical Investigation," 9 p.m., NBC. It's a tough time for Dr. Connor (Neal McDonough). A Gulf War veteran, he's asked to study four recent Gulf soldiers who have a lethal pulmonary disease. That's complicated when elderly people at a convalescence home show the same symptoms. The case splits Connor further from his family.

"What I Like About You" season opener, 9 p.m., WB. Holly returns from Europe with a hot British boyfriend; Vince and Henry are displeased. Meanwhile, her sister also has surprises.

"Grounded for Life" season opener, 9:30 p.m., WB. Lily fumes because Brad romanced Lana (Mila Kunis of "That '70s Show") at space camp. More complications arise from Lily's mom's pregnancy.
