RICHARD T. DARLING, 80, of Wai'anae, died Sept. 13, 2004. Born in Long Beach, Calif. A restaurateur. Survived by son, Wayne; daughters, Debbie, Susan Galetti and Sherrie; sister, Kay Armstrong; mother, Athalene Kelly; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service and scattering of ashes 11 a.m. Friday at Poka'i Bay Beach Park. Casual attire. Arrangements by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawai'i.

JOANN JUANITA DOWLING, 54, of 'Ewa Beach, died Sept. 3, 2004. Born in Wailuku, Maui. Instrumental in the creation of Hawaii Independent Cruise Night. Survived by husband, Arnold Jr.; son, Arnold III; daughter, Lenora Pascual; parents, George and Vivian Toro; brothers, Joe, Dennis and Jim Toro; sisters, Lorraine Benarao and Sylvia Bojack; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Visitation 5 p.m. tomorrow at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; service 6 p.m. Committal service 11 a.m. Monday at Hawai'i State Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire.

WAICHI IKEDA, 75, of Waimea, Kaua'i, died Sept. 11, 2004. Born in Waimea. A Kokee Tracking Station supervisor. Survived by wife, Yuko Elsa; sons, David, Alvin and Samuel; daughter, Joyce; brothers, Harry and Henry; sister, Sue Sasaki; 11 grandchildren. CELEDONIA "CELY" SAGAYSAY PAGUSARA, 49, of San Jose, Calif., formerly of Waialua, died Sept. 9, 2004. Born in Bani Bacarra Ilocos Norte, Philippines. A medical assistant. Survived by husband, Tony; daughters, Kylie and Nicole; sisters and brothers, Ming Agsalda, Marilyn Cadarona, Lolito Pagusara, Virginia Adams, Lornita Madanaga, Helen Pascual and Allan Sagaysay. Service held in Fremont, Calif.

CLYDE KOON LEONG PANG, 82, of Honolulu, died Sept 4, 2004. Born in Honolulu. A retired Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard pipe fitter. Survived by wife, Koon Lin; brother, Dan; sister, Doreen Ching. Visitation 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Diamond Head Mortuary; service 11:30 a.m.; burial to follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Casual attire.

TOSHIO "MICHAEL" WATANABE, 83, of 'Aiea, died Sept. 9, 2004. Born in Pu'unene, Maui. Retired U.S. Postal Service employee, and member of the 100th Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Survived by wife, Jeanette; sons, Dennis, Leslie and Glenn; daughter, Michele Hinahara; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sister, Ellen Kasai; brother, Winston.
