Best-seller author plans Kapalua talk

Dr. Andrew Weil, author of the best seller (with Rosie Daley) "The Healthy Kitchen," will make a rare Hawai'i appearance, giving a two-hour talk on "Spontaneous Healing, Healthy Living," at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the ballroom of the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua hotel as part of the 2004 LifeFest Kapalua health and wellness event. The Rotary Club's Taste of Kapolei, set for 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Ko Olina Resort & Marina's fourth lagoon, raises money for educational and scholarship programs for Leeward students and offers a delicious opportunity to taste-test samples from restaurants around the island — from the new Roy's Ko Olina to the yet-to-be opened Buono Pasto Assaggio restaurant, coming in December.
