Manoa Valley Theatre auditions for the Nov. 17-Dec. 5 production of a comedy/mystery spoof, "Red Herring," 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Kahawaihao Theatre on the campus of Mid-Pacific Institute. Hawai'i All-State High School Honor Choir auditions for students in grades 9-12 for the Jan. 22 and 23 festival and participation in the Jan. 20-23 music camp led by Bruce Rogers at Brigham Young University on O'ahu. Rehearsals begin in November. A $220 fee includes hotel, transportation, meals, CD and festival T-shirt. Auditions through Sunday for all islands. St. Andrew's Cathedral Choir auditions all vocal parts for the upcoming year.
