Seniors: Get into the 'Good Life' this weekend

This weekend's Hawaii Senior Fair/Good Life Expo, by the numbers:

50-plus: Age of participants.

20,000: Attendance last year.

200-plus: Booths, including financial planners, long-term care, health insurance, retirement homes and health booths, etc.

4,000-5,000: Flu shots given out last year.

200-300: Used eyeglasses collected through the Lion's Club Foundation drive at the EyeSight Hawaii's booth last year.

1,500: Kupuna IDs created last year by the state attorney general's office and Honolulu Police Department, offering a picture ID with extra identification, including an emergency contact name and phone number.

200-plus: Free eye exams for seniors provided by Dr. Eryle Okamura last year.

1: Free trip to Las Vegas prize giveaway.

20: Honolulu city & county crafts booths.

2,500: Zippy's keychains to be given out this year.

2,000/4,000: AARP voter guides explaining various positions candidates have on issues that relate to elders, at the presidential and state levels.
