HILO, Hawai'i Kamehameha Investment Corp. has named Gregory C. Chun as president and general manager of Keauhou Resort.
Chun replaces president Louis Kau, who is retiring after 31 years of service with the corporation and its affiliated entities.
KIC plans to move its offices from Honolulu to Keauhou.
"We welcome Greg Chun to our team," said Eric Yeaman, KIC Chairman of the Board. "His experience and balanced perspective will serve the stakeholders well as implementation of the Keauhou Strategic Master Plan gets under way."
"His commitment to community relations and the development of cultural sites, such as the restoration of Moloka'i's fishponds, will no doubt help re-establish a Hawaiian presence in Keauhou," Yeaman said.
A graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Chun was appointed executive vice president of Parker Ranch Inc. in 2002. Before that, he founded 'Iulu Consulting Group, specializing in organizational development, and also served as director of organizational development for Hawaiian Electric Co.
Chun serves on the board of directors of the Neighborhood Place of Kona, the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, the Hamakua Health Center and the Kalihi Palama Health Center.
