Web site hopes to help pets find great Hawai'i homes
Since dating services are a big hit on the Internet, could pet pairing have been far behind?
The Hawaii Cat Foundation and Hawaii Dog Foundation on O'ahu, and the Kauai Humane Society have joined Petfinder.com, the largest online database of homeless pets.
Betsy Saul, president and co-founder of the Web site, said that placing a pet's photo and description on the searchable database "substantially" increases the animal's chances of finding a happy home.
Petfinder.com claims it helped 1.5 million pets find new homes last year.
