Suspect charged in Net enticement

A 30-year-old Pearl City man was charged yesterday with one count of first-degree electronic enticement of a child.

Fitzgerald L. Fajardo was arrested at about 11:40 a.m. yesterday at Ala Moana Beach Park. He was being held last night in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Police said an undercover officer posing as a child had been "chatting" over the Internet with a man. The man arranged to meet the child at the park yesterday and intended to have sex with the child, police said.

Officers went to the beach park and arrested Fajardo.



Two men rob store in 'Ewa Beach

Police were looking for two men who robbed an 'Ewa Beach store Tuesday night.

The two men walked into the Morning Glory shop on Kaimalie Street at about 9 p.m., and one of them produced a handgun and demanded money, police said.

The men, who appeared to be in their 20s, left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.



Copter rescues four divers in bay

Firefighters pulled four divers out of Kane'ohe Bay yesterday after their boat capsized.

At 1:30 p.m. yesterday, two fire companies and the Honolulu Fire Department helicopter responded to a distress call for four divers with an overturned boat, said HFD Capt. Emmit Kane. The boat had flipped near Turtleback Island in Kane'ohe Bay near Marine Corps Base Hawai'i.

The helicopter carried the divers to shore, and the 11-foot boat was towed in. No one was hurt, Kane said.
