ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Jasmine, can I get an autograph?

Advertiser Staff

She won't be singing that Pizza Hut song from the television commercial, but she'll be happy to sign your auto show program ... or something.

Hawai'i "American Idol" finalist Jasmine Trias will be at the First Hawaiian International Auto Show today from 7:30 to 9 p.m., giving up her signature to anyone with a pen and paper. Show hours are noon to 10:30 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7 adults (13 and over), $5 for seniors (62 and over), $5 for military and students (with I.D.) and $4 for kids 7 to 12. Discount coupons are available at www.hawaiiautoshow.com.

JUICY TREATS

Jamba kicks off new menu

Get happy! Get healthy! Get some free Jamba Juice products!

Jamba Juice stores statewide will celebrate the launch of their new menu of energy smoothies and shots with a Healthy Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. today. Yeah, it's actually more like three hours (unless you go to the University of Hawai'i-Manoa store, which really is doin' it for only an hour between 3 and 4 p.m.) Show up and get a free 4-ounce Matcha Green Tea shot. The folks at Jamba are calling it "the kick without the crash."

You figure it out.

FINAL WORD

Rick McCallum | "Star Wars" producer on George Lucas' continued tinkering with the movie series, including the May 19 release of "Revenge of the Sith," with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen, below:

"I am convinced that there will never be a definitive edition of 'Star Wars' until George dies — he will keep tinkering right up until the very end."
