Weekly Thoughts

Life is a compulsion: too long for some, too short for most. But if life itself is a compulsion, the manner of living is a choice. Life is what we make of it. Voltaire once described life as a bad joke. We can make life a joke, a game, a struggle, a quest, a conquest, a dreary lengthening-out of experience, a groveling in the mire, or flight toward the stars. We choose the manner of our lives.
