Gasoline at record high

The average price for regular gasoline in Honolulu rose more than a penny to a record $2.378 a gallon, according to today's AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

Statewide average rose more than a penny to $2.462 a gallon. In Wailuku, Maui, regular gas averaged $2.729 a gallon. In Hilo on the Big Island, it averaged $2.467 a gallon.



New online service for business

The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs today said it launched a new service that allows professionals to file specific agency forms online. "QuickFile" also allows users to track their filings as they're processed by various state agencies.

The new service is part of the Hawaii Business Express system, which can be found online at www.ehawaii.gov/bizex.



Japan life science meeting set

The state Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism and the Japan External Trade Organization, in collaboration with the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, will conduct a special seminar on the Japan life science market on April 21, from 2:00-5:30 p.m. at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort.
