Lectures set on volcanoes

HILO, Hawai'i — The hazards of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes in Hawai'i Nei will be the subject of two free public lectures featuring Jim Kauahikaua, scientist-in-charge of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

The first lecture is April 21 at the Hawai'i Community College cafeteria in Hilo. The second will be April 27 at Kealakehe High School. Both events are 7 to 8:30 p.m.
