CPR fails to revive man at Bellows

Advertiser Staff

A 61-year-old man died after he was pulled unconscious from the waters off Bellows beach yesterday afternoon.

Police said the man was swimming with his family when someone spotted him face-down at about 3:20 p.m. They did not know how long he had been unconscious before being found.

The man was brought to shore where someone began CPR. He died at Castle Medical Center.

The man's name was not released last night. An autopsy will be performed.
