Parsons buying competitor RCI

Two Mainland construction companies with offices and projects in Hawai'i are being joined by the sale of RCI Construction Group to Parsons.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Sumner, Wash.-based RCI employs about 625 people, and is involved in Hawai'i projects, including an upgrade to the Honouliuli Waste Water Treatment Plant on O'ahu. Pasadena, Calif.-based Parsons is owned by its 9,000 employees, and has been involved with numerous Hawai'i projects, including restoration of Kaho'olawe.
