Advertiser Staff and News Services
Yesterday's CD release which you may have missed was the quirky mix-tape of a soundtrack for the surf flick "Sprout." Tracks include the '60s jazzy lounge swing of Oliver Nelson's "Stolen Moments," the astro-lounge torch of vocalist Hope Sandoval's "On The Low," and The Shins' summer-kicky "When I Goose Step." Jack Johnson plays on the Sprout House Band's instrumentals "Butter Nut" and "Spanish Flowers." On Record Collection/Brushfire Records.
