While most fashion shows are all about flash and far-out looks, Chic Fashion Forward, a benefit for the Honolulu Symphony's youth music education and scholarship programs, will be more reality-based.

Models will range from size 0 to 12, heights will vary widely and ages will span about 50 years. There will be male models as well as female models.

Designers providing looks for the show will include Anne Namba, Shanghai Tang, Mamo, Brio, Takeo, Princess Kaiulani Fashions and Modern Amusement.

Paul Brown Salons will create makeup and hair.

The show will be split into two rooms with two levels of tickets, to allow for those on a budget to experience the same fashion show with fewer frills.

Joey Caldarone

In the ballroom, where tickets will be $50, the emcee will be Joey Caldarone, who recently rocked the house as the Engineer in the Army Community Theatre's production of "Miss Saigon."

Emcee in the Hau Terrace, where tickets will cost $100, will be KITV news anchor Pamela Young.
