She said deputies found Fitzgerald a few blocks away from his mother's home after Larkin's fiance called 911.

Autopsy set on woman's body

WAILUKU, Maui — Police are hoping an autopsy scheduled for today will provide clues to the identity of a woman whose body was found Sunday at the bottom of a Ha'iku cliff, and indicate how she died.

Police have not found any identification and there are no missing-person reports that match the woman's description, said Lt. Glenn Cuomo of the Maui Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division. The decomposed body of the middle-aged woman was found in the area of Manawai Place. Cuomo said it is not known if she died from a fall off the cliff or whether her body might have been washed there by stream waters. She had been dead for at least several days.

There were no obvious signs of foul play and police have classified the case as a miscellaneous accident. The woman was wearing denim shorts, and X-rays indicated she had a metal rod surgically implanted in her right leg. Anyone with information on the case should call the police non-emergency line at (808) 244-6400.

Police said the husband was trying to restrain his wife when he received a minor cut to his right index finger. They said the husband was able to take the knife away and call police, who arrested the woman for suspicion of second-degree assault.

Woman held in attack with car

A 29-year-old woman was arrested yesterday after someone hit a 42-year-old woman with a car in Ma'ili.

Police said the women got into an argument about 3:30 p.m. when the older woman walked away. But the younger woman chased after the other woman in a car and hit her at Farrington Highway near Keliikipi Street, police said.

The older woman suffered a dislocated hip and a concussion and was in stable condition last night at The Queen's Medical Center. Police arrested the 29-year-old woman, who was being held last night on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
