Man stabbed in hand during street holdup

Advertiser Staff

Police were looking yesterday for a man who tried to rob another man early in the morning in Makiki and stabbed him in the hand.

A 36-year-old man told police he was walking along Lunalilo Street about 3:45 a.m. when he was confronted by a man who demanded money. On being turned down, the would-be robber attacked with a knife. He was last seen running east on Lunalilo Street.

He was described as 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10, with a dark complexion and a husky build. Police said the man they were looking for had short, black hair and was wearing a white T-shirt with "IZOID" on the front.
