Motorist, 45, faces multiple charges

A 45-year-old man who was pulled over for a traffic violation faces other charges, including gun and drug violations, after he was arrested late Monday night in Wahiawa.

A police officer stopped the man on suspicion of speeding at Wilikina Drive and Kaukonahua Road about 10:55 p.m.

While the officer was questioning the man, he spotted a rifle and what appeared to be drugs and a drug pipe in the truck, police said.

The officer also determined that a load of watermelons in the bed of the truck had been stolen, police said.

The man also was booked for driving without a license.
