The American Heart Association will partner with BMW of Honolulu in a golf tournament to be held May 4 at the Hawai'i Prince course in 'Ewa.
The format is a two-person scramble with competition in A, B and C flights, as well as a BMW flight, which will be the only flight whose winner is determined by low gross.
The winner of the BMW flight will win a trip to compete in the BMW Cup nationals at Pinehurst, N.C., site of the 2005 U.S. Open.
Each member of the team also will receive a TaylorMade driver.
BMW will provide roundtrip air fare to California and special hotel rates.
The company also will sponsor a hole-in-one contest, featuring a BMW 3 Series, worth about $45,000, as the grand prize.
BMW also will hold a test-drive incentive program where anyone who participates in the hole-in-one contest can visit BMW to receive a Cleveland wedge, a BMW golf bag or a polo windbreaker.
Professional golfers will not be eligible to compete in the BMW flight or the hole-in-one contest.
Entry fee is $160 per person with a portion being tax deductible. Deadline is April 27. Proceeds go to AHA. For information, call 538-7021 or go to americanheart.org.
