Surfers can test-ride boards, meet shapers on Demo Day

Advertiser Staff

Calling all surfers: The very first T&C Surfboard Demo Day is happening from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at Kewalo Basin. It's your chance to test-ride that board you've been eyeing before putting down a dollar.

Among the gear that will be available tomorrow: beginner longboards and funboards, and high-performance shortboards and longboards.

You can talk story with T&C board shapers (Cino Magallanes, Glenn Pang, Greg Griffin, Keola Rapoza, Todd Pinder and Mitsu Matsushita) and team riders, too.

The demo day is open to all surfers, but an ID is required for board tryouts. Those 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can sign a liability waiver.

The event is free, but if you bring a donation of canned goods, you'll receive a free T&C Surf sticker.
