Advertiser Staff
Hawai'i is listed among the top 10 "American treasures" in a national online survey by the Travel Industry Association of America.
The survey asked U.S. residents to name the top U.S. treasures they would like to visit. The Hawaiian Islands came in sixth, behind the Grand Canyon, the Statue of Liberty, Yellowstone National Park, the White House and monuments of Washington, D.C., and Niagara Falls.
Mount Rushmore ranked seventh, followed by the Redwood forests, the glaciers and fjords in Alaska, and the Rocky Mountains.
The survey was conducted online March 29-31, and results are based on a nationally representative sample of 2,681 U.S. adults, according to the association.
