Tonight's Must-See
"Warm Springs," 5:30 p.m., HBO. Franklin Roosevelt, having contracted polio at age 39, was bitter and distant, this film says, when he reached Warm Springs, Ga. Here was a big-city patrician at a fading spa, amid stark rural poverty. Warm Springs apparently gave him a fresh awareness of the common man. Kenneth Branagh creates a wonderfully passionate Roosevelt. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (2001), 7 p.m., ABC. This is worth watching again, about an ordinary lad swirling into a magical world.
"The Babysitter" (1995), 2 p.m., and "The Babysitter's Seduction" (1996), 4 p.m., Lifetime. Beware of really cute baby-sitters: Alicia Silverstone (in the first movie) and Keri Russell. "Crossing Jordan," 7 p.m., NBC. In a rerun, a college fencing star seems, at first, to have committed suicide. And a body with all the organs removed is found in a motel room. "Without a Trace," 7 p.m., CBS. Four years after a woman disappeared, Vivian has never given up on the case. In this rerun, a new clue surfaces. "CSI: Miami," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun set at a hotel, a bellman has been killed after looking into someone's suitcase, and a scantily clad woman is found dead in an elevator. "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 8 p.m., NBC. When a teen prostitute is killed, it turns out she was under-age, was making porn movies with a fake ID and was HIV-positive. "Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. A talk-show host has been killed and two women are prime suspects. "Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Hilary Swank hosts, with 50 Cent as musical guest.
