TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"P.O.V.: In the Realms of the Unreal," 10 p.m., PBS. Henry Darger was a quiet, polite man. He was a worker at a Chicago hospital. He rarely spoke to others but often — at night, in his apartment — spoke to himself. When he died, his landlords finally entered that apartment. They found a 15,000-page novel, elaborately creating alternate worlds. They found an autobiography and hundreds of meticulous paintings, illustrating the novel. Darger's life has a haunting quality, simultaneously sad and sweet. Jessica Yu captures both extremes in this elegant documentary. Dakota Fanning ("War of the Worlds") does the narration. Yu's film leaps between the autobiography, the novel and the memories of people who sort of — but not really — knew Darger.

"CMA Music Festival: Country Music's Biggest Party," 8 p.m., ABC. Each June, country-music stars and their fans converge in Nashville for a binge of concerts, autograph sessions, meet-and-greets and more. This special catches some of the highlights. It includes performances by Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Jo Dee Messina, Rascal Flatts, Dolly Parton, Big & Rich, Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna Judd, Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans and more.

OF NOTE

"Meet Mister Mom," debut, 7 p.m., NBC. This reality show starts by giving dream vacations to two women. Then we follow their husbands, trying to master the household chores. The result is seen through the eyes of the kids in both families.

"Rescue Me," 7 p.m., FX. Tommy and his brother meet their half-sister. Meanwhile, Franco tries a program to fight his addiction to painkillers.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. A brutal attack and car theft seems to be linked to an elderly woman. Then the surprises begin.
