Twenty-one karaoke singers will compete in a final round leading to the National Talent Quest Karaoke Contest Sept. 17-25 in Laughlin, Nev. — and a chance to win $20,000.

The state finals, at 7 p.m. Sunday at The O Lounge on Kapi'olani Boulevard, will feature Todd Hughes, Kennie Deluz, Rylan Yashiki, Roy Robins Sr., Lunn Kinoshita, Lara Won, Scott Goldman, Sara Jane Chesney, Buster Waler, Melody Star Miles, John Luteru, Steve Miyamoto, Christelle Hamaguchi, Angela Caprilho, James Dysarz, Bob Mercado, Brenda Cabilis-Garcia, Shawn Garnett, Rheanne Groggs, Russell Algoso and Morris Harris.

Six will be selected to move on to the finals.

Mayor Mufi Hannemann and his administrative assistant, Jeff Coelho, will co-emcee the contest, sponsored locally by Walter's Karaoke.

Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a $10 cover charge.
