Student arrested for threatening teacher

Police arrested a 14-year-old boy yesterday after he threatened a Kapolei area school teacher, police said.

The boy and the teacher got into an argument at about 9:25 a.m. yesterday. During the argument, the boy threatened the teacher.

Police responded, investigated, and arrested the boy on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening, police said. The boy was later released pending investigation.



Man arrested in graffiti investigation

Police arrested an 18-year-old man as part of an ongoing graffiti investigation in Waipahu yesterday, police said.

The man was wanted for an incident that occurred on or about June 16. At noon yesterday, officers with the District 3 Crime Reduction Unit located the man and arrested him on suspicion of criminal property damage in the second degree, police said.

The 18-year-old was later released pending investigation, police said.



Suspects who cut woman's hair turn themselves in

Three people wanted for threatening and cutting the hair off of a La'ie woman turned themselves into police yesterday, police said.

The woman told police that on June 18 at 1:51 a.m., a 22-year-old woman who she knew threatened her with a knife and cut some of her hair off. A 23-year-old man also cut her hair. A third woman, 24, grabbed her by the hair and cussed at her.

The three were booked on suspicion of first degree terroristic threatening and released pending investigation, police said.
