MUST-SEE

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. This episode solves four cases, instead of the usual two. Each takes over one stretch between commercial breaks, being probed and solved in one gulp. The victims are a body builder, a model at a car show, a hit-and-run victim and a boy whose body is found on the beach.

OF NOTE

"Big Brother," 7 p.m., CBS. It's time for the fourth person to be ousted.

"Starved" debut, 7 p.m., FX. FX is launching two sitcoms filmed in the style of low-budget movies with the star (or stars) also writing and producing. The second one works but this one sputters. It's done in "Seinfeld" style, with four big-city friends who all have eating disorders.

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" debut, 7:30 p.m., FX. Here's a show that works well. Three young guys (Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney) produce it, with key help from Kaitlin Olson as the fourth star. Together, the characters run a struggling bar.

"Will & Grace," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Friends fail at helping friends: Will is supposed to fire Karen's pastry chef and Jack is supposed to help Grace's boyfriend (Edward Burns) start his screenwriting career.

"The Law Firm," 8 p.m., NBC. In the second week of this reality show, one court case involves a dominatrix. The other has someone suing over a joke gone bad: Posters went up describing a then-friend as a terrorist.

"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. Kirsten's drunken driving prompts her husband to take steps. Meanwhile, son Seth faces a decision with Zach: One of them will take Summer to the prom while the other meets a zealous fan of their graphic novel.

"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. A real-estate agent who disappeared apparently had a secret life.
