Cayetano to teach at Farrington
By Wayne Harada
Former Gov. Ben Cayetano is going back to his high school in January as a teacher.
Cayetano, who graduated from Farrington High School in 1958, said he's returning to his alma mater as a teacher in the second semester next year.
It will be the first time he will teach at the Kalihi campus, home of the Governors (the school's team nickname).
"It will be the same course for students that I've taught at the University of Hawai'i," Cayetano said.
At UH-Manoa last year, it was titled Selected Topics in Hawai'i Politics.
Cayetano expects to provide insights and behind-the-scenes reflection from his eight-year tenure in the governor's office from 1994 to 2002.
