OF NOTE
"Dante's Peak" (1997), 2 p.m., Sci-Fi Channel. Instead of science fiction (which you kind of expect on the Sci-Fi Channel), we get variations of nature being naughty. This one (with Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton) has a volcano. It's followed by the self-explanatory "Tornado" (1996) at 4 p.m. and "Tidal Wave: No Escape" (1997) at 6 p.m.
"Spider-Man 2" (2004), 5 p.m., HBO. Here's the sequel to the immensely entertaining film about a reluctant superhero. Again, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst star, with Sam Raimi directing.
"Eloise at the Plaza" (2003), 6 p.m., ABC Family. The zesty Sofia Vassilieva (now of "Medium") plays a kid living in a lush New York hotel, often with her nanny (Julie Andrews) in charge.
"48 Hours Mystery," 8 p.m., CBS. Instead of the previously scheduled "NCIS" rerun, CBS is airing this two-hour report by Lesley Stahl. It asks if a screenplay tells the story of a real murder.
"Law & Order," 8 p.m., NBC. A porn star and a publisher have been killed. Fontana (Dennis Farina) and Falco (Michael Imperioli) find their investigation reaching all the way to the police commissioner.
"Law & Order: Criminal Investigation," 9 p.m., NBC. Neil Patrick Harris plays the suspect, after a stripper is killed and another woman escapes captivity.
"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Johnny Knoxville hosts, with music by System of a Down.
