Sweet treats on the big screen are scheduled at this weekend's pair of Sunset on the Beach events at Queen's Surf Beach, Waikiki.

Tonight's film is "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," starring Gene Wilder as the mysterious candymaker who gives a special and sometimes bizarre tour to five youngsters. Of course, the updated version, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," is in theaters now, starring Johnny Depp as Wonka.

Tomorrow's movie is "Chocolat," starring Juliette Binoche and — voila! — Johnny Depp; she opens a chocolate shop in rural France, he is a gypsy who might win her heart.

Besides films, Sunset on the Beach offers food booths and entertainment. It all begins at 4 p.m., with the films screening after the sun goes down. Admission is free. 923-1094.
