PRINCESS

SILK

Tag No. 68856. Smooth as Silk! Here's a sweet gal looking for a quiet home filled with love and treats. Silk is all black with gorgeous brown eyes. A happy mix of terrier, Lab and "poi dog," she's already full grown and still a bouncy medium-small size.

FOUND

DILLAN

Tag No. 68999. This attractive tabby cat is called Dillan. He was found in mid-June and remains unclaimed at the humane society. If you have lost this year-old neutered male cat with green eyes, please visit the shelter to claim him.

These animals already may have found homes. The Hawaiian Humane Society and McInerny Dog Park, at 2700 Wai'alae Ave., are open 7 days a week. For hours, directions, special events and to see more pets available for adoption, see www.hawaiianhumane.org or call 946-2187. Call immediately to report lost and found animals.

LOST CAT GOES HOME AFTER 4 YEARS

Beverly Takemoto's cat Kanoe disappeared in February 2001. Luckily Kanoe had a microchip ID, because four years later, on the other side of the island, Kanoe was found and returned to her home. Happy reunions like this are possible through the microchip ID. During August, 23 O'ahu veterinary clinics are waiving their office visit fee and implanting microchips for just $5 each. For a list of the clinics, go to www.hawaiianhumane.org or call 356-2290.
