Transit tax is just a first step to future
Given the high political and economic stakes involved, it would not be shocking if the Honolulu City Council found a way to postpone or cancel tomorrow's planned vote on a transit-related excise tax hike.
It might not be shocking, but it would be a terrible disservice to Honolulu and its residents for decades to come.
