O'ahu scored six runs in the first inning and held off the Bronx (N.Y.), 6-3, today to advance to the United States championship of the Cal Ripken 12-under World Series at Aberdeen, Md.

The United States championship is Saturday and the winner of that game will face the International champion for the World Series title on Sunday.

Kalani Lagoc-Crawford was the winning pitcher for O'ahu, which will play the winner of today's other U.S. semifinal game between Willamette Valley, Ore., vs. Lexington, Ky.
